Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Black Star Motors, we prioritize transparency, trust, and clear communication.

Because every vehicle we source is purchased on behalf of a specific customer, our refund and cancellation guidelines are designed to ensure fairness while protecting both parties.

1. Before Payment / Deposit

You may cancel your request at any time before making a payment or deposit.

No charges apply.

2. After Deposit but Before Vehicle Purchase

Once you have paid a deposit but the vehicle has not yet been purchased:

  • You may cancel your request.

  • A 20–30% administrative fee may be applied depending on:

    • time invested in vehicle search,

    • inspection coordination,

    • communication with sellers,

    • verification work completed.

The balance will be refunded to you.

3. After the Vehicle Has Been Purchased (Very Important)

Once the vehicle has been successfully purchased on your behalf:

➡ All deposits and payments become non-refundable.

This is because:

  • Vehicles in Korea are purchased specifically for you,

  • Sellers do not accept returns for exported cars,

  • Your name and details are already attached to the vehicle documents,

  • The car cannot be reversed, canceled, or resold without financial loss.

At this stage, cancellation is not possible.

4. After the Vehicle Arrives at the Warehouse

Once the car has arrived at the warehouse, the process has entered the export handling stage, and no refunds are available.

Any additional services (repairs, tire replacement, detailing, etc.) are optional and paid separately.

5. Shipping Delays or Container Space Issues

Shipping timelines depend on:

  • shipping lines,

  • container availability,

  • international logistics conditions.

Delays caused by these factors are not grounds for cancellation or refund.

Your vehicle will be shipped as soon as a suitable space becomes available.

6. If You Choose to Change the Destination Port

If you request a port change after:

  • documentation has started, or

  • a booking has been made,

additional charges may apply.

Refunds are not issued, but we will assist with adjustments.

7. If You Fail to Provide Recipient Details on Time

Recipient details (consignee information) must be submitted promptly.

Failure to do so may cause delays, but does not qualify for a refund.

8. Vehicle Condition Policy

All cars are purchased in the condition shown on:

  • Encar.com

  • KCar.com

  • KB차차차.com

    or from local sellers.

Used vehicles may have:

  • normal wear and tear,

  • minor scratches,

  • tire or battery issues,

  • age-related maintenance needs.

These are not valid grounds for refund or cancellation after purchase.

9. If the Vehicle is Damaged During Transport Within Korea

Minor issues such as:

  • flat tires,

  • air loss,

  • small punctures,

  • battery drain

may occur during domestic movement and are considered normal transport-related occurrences.

These do not qualify for a refund.

We will notify you and assist with solutions.

10. Duty, Customs, and Clearance Fees

These fees are controlled by your destination country and are not refundable under any circumstance.

They are paid by the customer directly.

11. Error or Duplicate Payment

If you accidentally make a duplicate payment or incorrect amount, we will process a refund for the excess amount after verification.
