Black Star Motors – International Vehicle Export Services

Last updated: {{today’s date}}

At Black Star Motors, we work hard to ensure a smooth and transparent shipping experience for all our international clients. This policy explains how shipping, container booking, transit times, and delivery procedures work when exporting vehicles from Korea to ports worldwide.

1. Shipping Overview

Black Star Motors exports vehicles from South Korea to global destination ports using:

  • Container shipping (40ft / 20ft)

  • RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off) where available

  • Professional loading companies & certified forwarders

We handle the entire export process from warehouse release to vessel departure.

2. Container Booking & Space Availability

Shipping depends on:

  • container space availability,

  • shipping line schedules,

  • destination port frequency,

  • seasonal congestion,

  • freight price fluctuations.

Important:

Container space is not guaranteed immediately.

We book your vehicle as soon as a suitable, cost-effective space becomes available, based on your budget and destination.

Delays caused by shipping lines or space shortages are not grounds for refund or cancellation.

3. Estimated Shipping Time

Shipping time varies by destination:

  • Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa)

~ 28–55 days depending on port & route

  • Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia)

    ~ 14–28 days

  • Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium)

    ~ 25–40 days

  • North America

    ~ 18–35 days

Times may vary due to customs clearance, weather, transshipment, and vessel routing.

4. Inland Transport Within Korea

Once purchased, your vehicle is transported from the seller’s location to our warehouse or the exporter’s facility.

Transport conditions in Korea are generally very safe; however:

  • flat tires,

  • minor air loss,

  • battery drain,

  • superficial scratches

may occur during movement. These are considered normal for used vehicles and not covered for refund.

5. Warehouse Handling & Storage

When the car reaches the warehouse:

  • It is parked,

  • Security is ensured,

  • Export documents are prepared,

  • Inspections/photos/videos may be done upon request.

Warehouse handling fees vary depending on the exporter/forwarder used.

6. Vehicle Loading Process

Before loading into the container:

  • Tires are inflated (if needed) so the car can move safely,

  • Battery jump-start is provided if drained,

  • The car is physically guided into the container by professional loading teams,

  • Vehicles are strapped, locked, and secured to prevent movement.

Any additional pre-loading services (washing, detailing, tire replacement, etc.) are optional and billed separately.

7. Shipping Documents Provided

Depending on the destination country, the following documents will be supplied:

  • Bill of Lading (B/L)

  • Export Certificate / Export Declaration

  • Commercial Invoice

  • Packing List

  • Any additional documents required by your port

Your shipping line or forwarder may contact you or your consignee for confirmation before the vessel departs.

8. Destination Port Responsibilities

Once the vehicle arrives at the destination port:

  • customs clearance,

  • inspections,

  • duties/taxes,

  • unloading charges,

  • terminal fees,

  • agent or clearing fees

are paid by the customer or their clearing agent.

Black Star Motors does not cover these costs.

9. Delivery Beyond Destination Port

Delivery from the port to your home city or garage is not handled by Black Star Motors.

You must arrange your own clearing agent or transport service after the vehicle arrives.

If needed, we can recommend clearing agents, but the agreement is strictly between you and them.

10. Shipping Delays

Delays may occur due to:

  • port congestion,

  • weather conditions,

  • customs inspections,

  • vessel routing changes,

  • container shortages.

These delays are outside our control and do not qualify for refund or order cancellation.

11. Lost or Damaged Cargo

Shipping lines carry insurance for major incidents (fire, total loss, etc.).

For additional protection, customers may purchase:

  • Marine cargo insurance, or

  • Comprehensive export insurance.

Black Star Motors is not liable for damages occurring after the vehicle leaves Korea.

We assist in documentation only.
